Joe’s Journey

I was born and raised in Wyoming, spending summers on my family’s ranch. My dad used to say there were two types of people — the greyhounds and the bulldogs. We were the bulldogs: strong, stocky, but also heavy breathers.

My father snored, struggled with sleep apnea, and eventually relied on an oxygen tank. He passed away just after his 71st birthday. Watching him struggle left a mark on me. I wanted a different future.

Like him, I suffered from allergies, snoring, and poor breathing. But over time I began to change. I read James Nestor’s book Breath and started practicing nasal breathing. My workouts improved, my mind cleared, and my allergies eased. Then I trained with Dr. Belisa Vranich, who taught me I’d been breathing wrong since childhood.

That realization changed everything. I saw how many of us have it backwards — and how simple awareness of the breath can unlock real change.

Today, I’m trained in science-backed methods like The Breathing Class, Buteyko, and Oxygen Advantage. My mission is simple: to guide others to breathe better, sleep deeper, and live stronger.
